The port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 2009 will have a new center of port inspections, construction where the services are centralized at the border checkpoints that are currently scattered around that facility.

In this sense, the future will integrate building Soivre (Official Service Inspection, Supervision and Regulation of Exports), Customs and Border Health, Animal and Plant, all agencies involved in the inspection of goods at the port of Tenerife that have shown total provision and need for infrastructure.

In fact, the guidelines on which this project is the result of work carried out jointly by the Port Authority of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and representatives of each of these bodies Gather all the inspection services at a strategic point of the port capital will result in the acceleration of the formalities of Customs and, therefore, the facilitation of freight traffic, thus reducing the associated costs and optimize quality service, which in turn lead to capture more traffic.

The future building of two floors and a total built area of 4,655 meters square, 3,337 of them floor space, will be erected in a square plot of 7,244 meters located in the cave filled Bermeja.
