The purpose of the Contractor Profile (article 42 of the Law 30/2007, of 30th October on Contracts in the Public Sector) is to ensure transparency and public access to information relative to contractual activity, and notwithstanding the use of other advertising media in the cases required by this Law, by the autonomous government law or where it is voluntarily decided.

The contracting profile can include any information and data referring to the contractual activity of the contracting body, such as the prior calls contemplated in article 125, the tendering processes already open or running and the documentation relative to the same, programmed contracting, awarded contracts, procedures cancelled and any other useful information.
