School Visits

Educational programme “Conoce Nuestro Puerto”

School year 2019-2020

Letter from the President

Dear teachers,
At the beginning of every school year, we offer you the initiative “Conoce Nuestro Puerto” (get to know our port), an educational programme, which is celebrating its 31st anniversary this year and Ports of Tenerife offers province’s students, from primary education to A levels, the possibility of getting to know the operation of the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and its port community.

Through a guided tour detailing the most significant milestones and facilities of the port, the students discover the port activity and the main professions related with the port sector. They thus acquire a broader view of the history of the island and the archipelago, so linked to the sea and its deeply-rooted seafaring tradition since the 15th century, which results in a better understanding of the current reality.

The visit includes a breakfast, courtesy of our partners: Bar-Cafeteria Maritime Station; Panadería Los Compadres; Montesano and Coca Cola. Likewise, it offers the possibility of enjoying a visit to the Historical Military Museum of the Canary Islands (Almeyda).

The coordination of these visits is carried out from Press, Protocol and Institutional Relations of the Port Authority. For further information and bookings, please consult our website: www.puertosdetenerife.org

Sincerely,

The President
