Special Plans

In order to establish the necessary coordination among administrations with authority on the port area, general plans and other urban planning instruments should qualify, as general port system, the service area of state-owned ports, as well as the port’s public domain subject to the service of maritime signaling and may not include decisions entailing any interference or disturbance when exercising port operation and maritime signaling powers.

This general port system will be developed through a special plan or equivalent instrument to be provided by the Port Authority.

Its processing and approval shall be made by the competent authority responsible for urban affairs, in accordance with the provisions of the territorial and urban planning legislation.
